Characters are either copyright of Random House publishing (the Bob-Whites and Dan, Regan, Miss Trask, the three visitors from Iowa, and I suppose Judge Armen), real people about whom I totally shouldn't be writing (Neil, Harvey, their parents), or, occasionally, completely made up (anyone else I've mentioned, such as Mrs. Miriam Armen). Any and every detail about the real people is complete fiction, and any similarities to their real lives are either a nod to what I've read in biographies or completely coincidental.
